Great service; worse App

First of all, let me say that i am completely satisfied with the Google Voice as a call service.

The app is not a great messaging service; but it was never meant to be. You have many other messaging alternatives.

My only complain is about lack of updates on the app.
The app needs serious maintenance, mainly in the UI area. It lacks the feel of other google apps.

Can google voice be a supported as another voice calling app on ios, so that user wont have to open the app to make the call ? I think with ios10 support it should be possible.
