Illegal application while driving

Google took away Favorites shortcuts (Speed Dial).

There is no way to make a call with just a couple clicks and you cant use voice commands to make a call.
Very dangerous to use while driving; impossible to place hands-free calls as required by law.
New CA law starting 1/1/2017: driver only allows for "the motion of a single swipe or tap".
Accidents are waiting to happen!!!
I hope G will fix it soon.
