Irritating bugs that go unfixed for years

- messages remain marked as unread even after viewing them 2, 3, 4 times
- my own sent messages get marked as unread
- messages that come in when app is not open can be partially read via notification, but if network connection is poor those messages are nowhere to be found in the app
- app UI is unresponsive while network calls are being performed, and the app seems to perform network calls for everything you do in the app
