Several usability issues

I use Google Voice as a secondary IM number that follows me whatever country I am him. Its been great to have that feature.

However, I would expect this app to be able to place a VOIP call directly like the Hangouts app does, but it can only do that by calling your phone number or by causing your phone number to call. Sometimes I just need or want to place a call over Wi-Fi but I cant without switching apps. Another annoyance is that messages that Ive read still show up as unread until the second time that I open it.
