Two steps forward, and three steps back
I’ve been a big advocate of Google Voice back to when I started using it when it was known as Grand Central... Regrettably, when the big update added some great new features, it also eliminated some essential legacy features. The mobile GV app no longer lets you choose which phone to complete a call on — that is, if you have a poor cell signal, but great WiFi, you would want to have the App ring your LandLine, but that feature is gone, as is the option to “Remember this choice”. This significantly degraded the usefulness of GV, so I revert to the Legacy version, which does not allow Texting photos, or long Texts... SIGH
