I used this for work daily for a couple of years. Not great, but pretty functional. My work made me use Jive this year, and recently gave us the choice to return to Google Voice due to a few glitches. After two weeks I am returning to Jive. This app is almost nonfunctional. If I keyboard numbers quickly, the app doesn’t accept them. Incoming calls will not route to my cell phone, but will only go to my computer. It doesn’t record VM consistently. Its a mess.

This is perhaps my most used app. Arrgh!! More recently the app frequently crashes as Im entering a text message! ? both on the phone I have running iOS 10 and the one running iOS 11. Arrgh!! Recently the app frequently requires I reconfigure it when I launch it. Update: I think they fixed that in around January 2018. Why cant I set a default phone like I can when using the web-based app? ... call with Hangouts. Makes hard to use iPad as a phone! :-( See this note on the google play store app, re. Talkatone. Is this going to impact this Google Voice app too? Im WORRIED. SPECIAL NOTE TO EXISTING TALKATONE FOR GOOGLE VOICE USERS: Talkatone will continue to support Google Voice users until May 15, 2014. I’m unable to make google voice calls from my cell phone. I’m unable to find any support to assist me in my problem. This use to work in 2017 and has been broken for over six months. I’m very disappointed with the app.

For texting, this app has been great. About the time the latest update rolled out (early February) I lost the ability to send photos. That’s a total bummer.

Can’t delete all recent call logs at once

Designed for google phone number. Few bugs on iPad otherwise works fine

Overall it a good apps. I personally would revise to make it easier to delete old calls and texts.

I’ve been using google voice for at least the last decade. How can I get rid the number of missed calls??? It’s so annoying to see the 35 missed calls as an alert. Why?? Please update

I don’t understand why Google Voice or Google Mail apps don’t allow you to select all to delete! I use these for spam calls and I hate that I have to select each one to delete.

Very choppy and unreliable voice quality for international call.

Please bring the update for 63– series number for India. It doesn’t allow to call & disconnects when we try to call Indian number starting with 63- which is a new series for Vodafone(India) numbers. It crashes sometimes though its affordable and good application with a clear voice calls. Hope for the update soon with these problems resolved.

Not a fan on writing reviews, but this is noticeable. Many phone messaging and free messaging Calls/Texting apps allow you to delete in the category’s calls, texts, voicemail by just sliding to the right or left to delete. Each delete has to be done on clicking the 3 dots within the message type just to get rid of a message. Google is nice, but why can’t this performance be done on the Google Voice app. ?????????

i have been typing in area codes and so many cities in Texas looking for an available number but NOTHING. i eventually typed in ‘Texas’ and ABSOLUTELY NO NUMBERS were available in Texas. What the hell? Don’t waste your time

All I ever get is spam calls, I have over 500 spam calls and I can’t delete them all at once. I have to one by one open them up and delete them, one by one over 500 of them. Technology supposed to make life easy and less stressful this app increases your stress level DO NOT USE!!!

Yet another iOS app that wont let you browse your photos folders. Unable to change out of "Camera Roll" to "Favorites" for instance.

Messages won’t show up unless I initiate them. I will get multiple messages but it shows no messages. So I have to send a message to the people I think might have messaged me in order to view their messages.

Google please. Why do we still have no option to change the “swipe” option to delete? This is one of the most requested features and you are not listening to us. Please stop shoving “archive” down our throats. Please allow users to choose what “swipe left” does (archive vs delete). Allow us to select multiple and DELETE not archive. Allow us to clear all call and message history. Thank you for updating for iPhone X screen!

App is very slow to launch. Once open, I often find the back and conversation and back buttons dont work and I have to wait further for them to function. And now, new in this version, cannot send photos through the app. Select photo, hit send, nothing happens!!! Even after reset and reinstall, can’t send photos. Google, you can do much better than this!

On the web, on Android, on iPhone. A seamless experience across my many devices. Thats the pros. Cons: On iOS its constantly crashing or opening to black screen. I cant set a custom notification sound, it doesnt use the system default either. Listening to voicemail with a Bluetooth headset connected doesnt let me switch back to the headset for output to listen. The Swype keyboard crashes all the time defaulting to the stock keyboard. I only have this problem in Google voice. I really want to give more stars, but until these issues get resolved and the app more stable, this is where we stand.

I have been getting a lot of phone calls in the last 24hrs from people stating that they have a missed call from me, but I haven’t called anyone. I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus
