Can’t get a quick text message out before the app crashes. It’s truly annoying. It wasn’t always like this, c’mon Google! The last few update were trash. I still use the app everyday but the past few weeks got me looking into alternatives. Fix it! Make it what it needs to be. The best alternative from the native iPhone phone app. I’ll revise my review. & please make it iPhone X compatible.

The app is still crashing! It’s getting frustrating cause I use it for business

I’ve noticed over the last month that I haven’t been receiving all my texts. I have become dependent on my Google Voice number for my business texting and the lack of dependability has become very frustrating. I’ve been using GV for years and have loved it but I’m now worried about depending on it. I’m hoping that whatever the problem is can be fixed.

Please fix this app cause it crashes every one min.

On my iPhone I use to call using my google voice number. Now it just reroutes my calls to a different number even if I manually input the number it calls a random number. Idk what happened my service didn’t change my number didn’t change, I don’t have a modded Phone. I have deleted it an downloaded it many times still reroutes calls to foreign numbers. Really frustrating I have paid credits on my account for a service that doesn’t work

I had the app on my Android and it worked fine. I switched to iPhone 8 and now I have to write text in another app, copy and past to the app because it crashes whenever I attempt to write a text from the app. I use this to communicate with clients and it’s now very frustrating. If I can take my number which is on my business cards to another provider I will have to do that.

Voice has been solid for me for decades could not have had the success without it.

Love what the app is supposed to do. However, it crashes every 30 seconds, especially while texting. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, but to no avail. Have sent numerous messages to the Google hangouts help forum with no response from Google.

I have 100’s of app (many from smaller developers) and use at least 20 or so apps frequently. The Google Voice app has to be the worst and unreliable app that I have had to use. Crashes almost universally. Many months AFTER the iPhone X release, it is still not updated for its screen. If you have to check the text message, it’s impossible - it crashes. For the voice message, it fails to play the sound (and of late has started crashing too). This reminds me of Microsoft trying to sabotage with its buggy and older generation office software for the Mac. Is Google playing the same game with iPhone? It stinks.

App crashes all the time. Writing messages only to have the app crash and delete it, making you start over is really annoying. I hope to see a fix ASAP.

Ive had google voice since 2012 and each update just gets worse and worse. there are too many things the app is still incapable of doing to list. It takes forever to load GV texts. So long that its actually faster to check my email (with Apples default mail app because the Gmail app is also AWFUL) to see them. The app won’t refresh and you won’t see your recipients next texts until after you have finished your texts and refresh the app. The iOS GV app still can’t sync contacts with the GV webapp. This is a known issue since at least 2014.

I like the app to use for work to contact people so the don’t get my actual cell number. I don’t like that it overrides my cell phone and it stops ringing because google voice says I am not available. Needs fixed. I had to delete the app and my phone won’t ring now.

Still no support for the iPhone X? No matter how many people send feedback, issues can take a year to be addressed. Dont waste your time with this service ?

Highly used app but it mysteriously still lacks iPhone X support since 11/3/17. Hopefully a Google Voice Dev reads this and send me an ETA message.

After preliminary testing app still crashes whilst composing. Seems to only do it if more than one account is logged in. Requires more testing. Hope someone actually reads this.

Even after today’s Update Jan 23 2018 App still constantly crashes. It’s really embarrassing google that you can’t get this issue resolved

The most annoying thing with this app is that every time when I want to delete a message or call log, I cannot just swipe left or right to do so. I have to go to the detail page and click on the top left corner to find the Delete menu. I am not sure how does the product manager at Google thinks, but I really don’t want to keep these text messages for verification code or similar. I hope they can add the the option to delete a call log or text message on the main page or just replace the Archive function with Delete function. Until then, I can only give it 2 star.

Like soooo many others, I am literally suffering because of this app. And even with a brand new release today, Google has yet to fix the bug that make this app crash every single time I use it -- usually after about 30 seconds of use. Its a nightmare. I have been hoping for a year now that they would fix the problem as they once did in the past. Im locked into using it because of my existing texts and Google phone number or I would delete it in a heartbeat. It was free. You get what you pay for I suppose. Run away! Save yourself!

I have an iPhone X. The app is slow and crashes constantly. I use this for my work number, so it’s critical. I now use a paid app called GV Connect. At least it’s stable, but I really want this to work, just tried the newest update 1/24/2018 and it’s still crashing in the text messaging app when trying to compose a new message. Super frustrating.
