I still love this app and service. Its been crucial for my daily business. I enjoy the new app and find it stable and functional. Looking forward to further updates and improvement. Previous comments: - Completely updated and better than ever! So glad they didnt kill this app and service. Thanks Google. Used to use this all the time. Now google pulled their "last compatible version from old iPads. Im downloading my data and porting out soon. Google is completely corrupt now.

This last update has my google voice app completely unusable. Crashes the second I open it. Completely useless at this moment in time.

Google voice is great, the app not so much. The iPhone built in dialer has a Favorites section. Makes total sense. Why doesnt GVoice offer the same? It would match the default iOS experience. And second, after the update the app forgot my linked phone number somehow. I was kind of confused by the situation, maybe add some people to the UX team..

04/17/17 Favorites still gone, still lags when starting up and searching and now voice calls are gone. It says you have to link your number and tries to link the number your calling. The app is not almost totally useless and forcing me to use the apple products. 02/16/17 The latest update seems to have fixed the speed issue on searching but there are still no favorites. Previous Update: I appreciate the update (can now search and messages are grouped) but what happened to the call favorites? I use the app as my separate work phone, but now it has too many issues. There are no favorites, but when you search, the phone locks up for 30 seconds. You used to be able to press a contacts name and then choose to text or call them, now that is gone. There are a lot of reviews from the tech community on how great it is that Google finally updated the app but no one mentions that they threw out call favorites or how difficult it is to make a call. My guess is that none of them actually use the app.

This is my first review of any app. Its recent upgrade is worst

I know some issues are from using a Google product that changes core phone functionality on an iPhone but still simple things like not being able to paste a gif, even using the Gboard keyboard, and the crashes are not.

Cant dial out since update, requesting that I link my device number... Which is linked. I just wanna make outgoing calls from my specific google number

No other app using my address book crashes. I cannot make any calls without crashing the app every single time once the address book is linked. iPhone and iPad version do the same thing.

Keeps on wanting to call one specific phone number when im dialling another. Buggy and slow response.

This used to be a simple and useful app. Now it takes several steps to do what used to be done with one - such as deleting a call --- why not just a left swipe like everything else? The new version is even worse – the one that came out the third week in April. Now the darn thing does not remember which is my phone number so every time I want to make a call it asks me to let it know what the phone number is of the cell ---phone pretty ridiculous.

App v2.2 is crashing immediately on start with iPhone 7. Works fine on iPad.

Ever since this new April 19 update the app crashes every time I open it. Google get your app and your act together

I am not able to open the app on my phone! Every time I try to open the app, it cuts off! Not happy with this app right now!!

This app has always been a bit shakey. But recently when I try to open the application, itll go to the home screen for a split second and immediately close. I rely on this for business so I hope developers fix this bug asap

Its good to see an update after years, but its not perfect. They took out the ability to mark messages unread. Its also slow to load and laggy.

Removing the favorites makes it a lot harder to operate and make quick calls.

This app is now crashing every time I try to open it after since I did my update...not cool.

But one major flaw -- why no timestamp for text messages? Theres date but no time. Why? This is basically the same interface as the webapp but needs to improve. Please add time! Yo

After the last update every time I want to make a call I have to uninstall the app and put it back on my phone which make no sense at all. Shouldve did extensive testing before updating "ruining" the app.
