Laggy, crashes a lot, took years to be able to exchange MMS, not user friendly. Now thankfully we can exchange MMS but I am lucky if the receiver actually gets the MMS. Sometimes I make multiple attempts before it goes through, sometimes it doesnt at all and I give up altogether. Interface is bad...not fluid like an Apple or Samsung, making us click thru various screens for various functions. Surprisingly behind the times for a Google product but, tbh, a great long term alternative for your default application. 3 stars because it still needs quite a bit of work.

Needs to be updated for iPhone X.

Worked for a month then stopped. Not able to place calls. Can’t text.

I don’t no what happened but like the previous reviewer I use for business only but now I can’t reply to a text before it crashes. I saved the website on my home screen as a work around but it doesn’t make you aware of calls so I keep both now and considering alternatives. Just stop the crashing and this app is great??‍♂️

I used to love this app in my old android phone. I used it all the time. I got an iPhone X and thought would use this app for work. That was a Bad idea. The design is not very responsive in iOS. When you try to call someone and punch in the numbers, it starts skipping numbers. Or wont accept numbers. Then there is the caller ID. It will show you some weird number that it is using to call the number you dialed. Well the problem is this --> you will never see the number you dialed while it is calling. So you dont know if you dialed the right number or not. I cannot give more than 2 stars (and that is only for the text feature that I use).

I’ve been using my Google Voice number for business on my iPhone for nearly 3 years now. I’ve gone through tons of updates throughout this time, and rode through the highs and lows of great updates to ones that crash constantly. I really wish that Google and Apple could work together to create a more stable version. That’s the current frustration - STABILITY! The app crashes while I’m in the middle of writing texts, all the time! Grrrr... please FIX THE CRASHING GOOGLE!!!

Hey Google, How about Apple Watch Series 2/3 Support? Id love to be able to accept phone calls from my watch.

This app was good until a few months ago. Now it crashes all the time. I use this for business and it has become extremely irritating. I have to write texts in another app to copy & paste, and then send before it crashes. I really hope they fix this!

Google or Apple need to fix this. If you unlink your contacts the app doesn’t crash as much. If you have your contacts linked you likely won’t get through a single text. Unlinked you can go for an hour or more before it crashes. It’s a hassle not knowing who’s texting or calling if you don’t recognize the number. I got rid of a second phone to have a business number run though the app. It’s working but barely and not even close to what I expected.

I have used gv for over a decade on both android and iOS. IPhone 8 iOS 11 gv crashes repeatedly to the point it is unusable. Need a fix or will forward all texts and calls to new number and abandon gv forever

Please fix the bug that causes the text messages to crash without having to disconnect my contacts! You should have access to your contacts for a text and call app!

So what good is it if there are no available numbers for my state!?

If this is the best Google can do, Amazon is home free. *Somewhat* useful for notification and reading texts. USELESS for writing texts. Crashes consistently. Hard to believe this app was tested let alone released.

I have had this google voice # for over 4 yrs now. App hasnt been working for over 2 weeks now, keeps "shutting completely down and off" especially when texting ppl. Please fix this app asap. I can keep a phone convo going once I get a phone # thru, but both texting n making phone calls has not been this difficult since I started using the app. I see Im not alone with the complaints either. Btw Im using a iPhone 6 but updated Google voice 2 weeks ago and have been having severe problems every since.

The latest update rendered this app completely useless. You can’t even login needless to say, text, messages, and phone calls don’t work either if you can’t even get logged in! Once a useful tool now I regret using it for the possible loss of a great deal of information.

I hate it when Im right. I knew that updating would be risky. After the latest update, the app crashes within 3 minutes even after doing nothing. Steps to reproduce a crash: 1. Open the app. What an embarrassment for Google.

Typical Alphabet / Google holing back features from the competitors platform. They have updated the app plenty since the release of the X but still haven’t enabled full screen.
