Constantly crashes on IOS11

The app keeps shutting down for me. Will stay open for 20 seconds max and then shuts itself down. I have the newest version on an iPhone 7. Developers, Please help

The current app keeps crashing for me. When I try to listen to voicemails the app crashes.

The app has improved greatly! Now MMS messages are supported, and so the app is becoming a great texting alternative. However, since the recent update - the app crashes after several seconds. This is extremely frustrating, and will really hold this app back from reaching its potential. Please fix this glitch so that one can use it with peace of mind. Thank you.

Google has irresponsibly neglected this app and its become totally UNUSABLE. It almost is guaranteed to crash EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to send ANY message thats longer than ten words!!! Im trashing this app moving away from using my GV number altogether. Thanks for nothing GOOG.

I’ve been a Google Voice user since it first came out. That includes when Google abandoned the product. I’m glad to see they are attempting to reinvigorate the product but on iOS (11) it is horrible. The Android version is fine. Not only does it crash constantly, it burns my iPad battery at an alarming clip. Finally, the most annoying bug is that every time I receive a message, I have to tap on the name of the sender for it to show up in the message list. Ie I have to refresh Voice each time I receive a message even if I’m in the midst of an ongoing chat with the same person. This bug doesn’t even seem to be understood but it makes the product unusable on iOS.

I’d love to see the notifications work like hangouts where they show the persons name instead of the phone number. Other than that, works great for me.

Don’t get me wrong. I love that I have a messenger app for my google number. That being said, I’m tired of be glitchy response I get from the app. I see messages that appear as duplicates unless I close the app and reopen it. I don’t get notifications unless I leave the app and reopen it. It crashes all.the.time. Google should strive to be more like Facebook Messenger: watch responses in real time, no duplicate messages, gif keyboard, no crashes...I use this all because I have to for my google number. If I had an alternative I would do that.

Don’t expect to rely on this app right now for you alternative number needs. App crashes during calls or messaging.

Just everything about hangout is great. Ability to share materials from other apps, just physically appealing in general, etc. But Google Hangout has more features aimed for just hanging out. I like the ability to make calls using my phone normally, with the option to call using my mobile number or gvoice number. But its messaging features are disappointedly poor.

App keeps crashing when composing a reply to a text. Have to type fast, concise messages and hit send right away before it crashes. Please fix.

Edit: it crashes almost every time I use it. Ive used this app for years. Im in sales and it helps me organize communication by client. Additionally, my voicemail is NEVER full. Recently, the app crashes 50% of the time Im using it. Its frustrating to type a text and have the app crash

This app lets me have a separate number for clients that still rings through to my phone, texts me when I receive calls or texts, sends notifications, or just stores messages and call history. I love having voicemails sent to my main number as texts. Very useful.

I’m a GV user for 4-5 years. Never had a crash before. Now it’s crashing every a few seconds ever since 11.0 upgrade. This iPhone is running IOS 11.0.3. I also have another Android phone though work. GV is fine there.

Very buggy app. Crashes everyday multiple times. I cannot mark anything as unread or use stars like we used to. Design is better, but functionality is far worse. Please fix ASAP Google! Received confirmation that Click-to-Call has been removed. Another App killed by Google! ☠️

Used to work fine on my iPhone 6S+. But ever since the last update it crashes within 10-30 seconds after startup, even mid text message. Please fix ASAP!
