Still waiting for the option to delete texts in the bulk or by swiping again. Its a bit nerve racking to log in via pc to delete in bulk.

Ive been using google voice now for five plus years, since its inception almost. Through years of phone swaps, lost phones and more a personal business the Google Voice system has been excellent. Flexible to manage calls and callers. You can manage who goes straight to your phone or straight to voicemail. Ave different messages for different groups of callers. Options to take the call or send it to voicemail. Ties into contacts, email and other Google features that make it invaluable.

The app used to be sufficient for texting and calls. Now it finally provides the capacity to group text and send pictures... minus freezing all the time! Nearly every time I open it, type a text, search my history, or click on any aspect, it freezes. Also, people arent receiving my texts!!! Please fix this issue ASAP or Im going to have to go back to iMessage.

Have had voice since the days of invites.... New version of the iOS app really stinks! I loved the old one... Refresh when new texts come in stinks! Push to Apple Watch lags EVERYTHING lags!!! Google voice ROCKS but this app is just painful

Its slowly getting there. The last update was team so painfully slow that I was about to give up on the app... The ability to delete single messages, great. But why not add the ability to delete entire conversations? If the can be archived, they should be able to be deleted. I know yall need our data for your miners, but come-on. Give us the ability to delete what we want.

Love google voice. Have used it since 2009. I do miss some of the features old the older application, however.

Many cant send messages lots of bugs, slowness since recent update.

Google Voice is better than what it was before the major overhaul in January 2017. I appreciate having the free service but the app is still tedious and clunky. The simplest of actions are time wasters and make no sense in the grand scheme of things. Two examples: 1. Deleting a text message thread is a FIVE step process, when it could be a simple swipe left, plus confirm to delete. To delete a message currently, we have to open the message in the conversation screen, click the three horizontal dots for settings, select delete, be warned with the message "are you sure you want to permanently delete?" then finally are able to click delete. Five steps just to delete a text message. Seriously? 2. When we dial a number, the system automatically converts the number we dial into an alternate access number. Its the way google voice works and users have accepted this. However, after we dial the number to call and the app converts it to the access number, the app will still ask "Call XXX-XXX-XXXX?" (the access number) even though the user will not be able to make a call without clicking "ok." Why bother asking this redundant question EVERY SINGLE TIME we dial a number, especially when we dont have any other option to dial out? Again, an absolute waste of time. What is Googles logic in making things this difficult for users? In addition to the above, were no longer able to quick dial; also, after reading new text messages, the message still shows as unread in the conversation screen. Ugh! The GV service may be free but with all the headaches and time wasted while using it, the cost of use is certainly not free.

In the latest update, the messages do not always display in the proper order. Texts that were just sent and received are appearing a few items up from the bottom.

This is a must feature! Please add this!!!

This app has been bug riddled all along. How did this new bug slip thru QA again? Something with new messages just never work right, agh…

I have been a user of Google Voice since it was Grand Central, and it definitely came a long way from where it was, though it still needs more improvements. Some of the bigger issues like picture messages and group chatting have been fixed but it still cant send and receive videos. I wouldnt even dare ask for a video chat function given how long it took for Google to even update this app. I love pretty much everything else about it though and Im still a loyal user after all these years. I just want to see it becomes better than it is.

Does the trick, I just having people call and hearing "thank u for calling google voice " remove it pls

Why cant I send text messages anymore? It says "Not sent. Cant resend messages." Also, why cant I use bitmojis within the app? Since the last update the app has been glitchy and sending double text messages. Its not working for me.

Just updated this morning and not one phone call or text has the name anymore! Im now stuck playing a guessing game as to whose name goes with what number since the contact names are no longer listed next to the numbers or messages. This was more of a downgrade than an upgrade! ?? Cmon Google!

I was excited to see the new features, but Im encountering some issues already. When I go into the archive and open a conversation, then try to batch delete specific messages in a conversation, it doesnt work. I select multiple messages and theres no option at the top to delete. Im surprised a big corporation like Google doesnt test this stuff more thoroughly. Overall, Ill admit that the app is getter better. And it is clean and nice looking.

Slow and awkward. Main problem for me now is the absence of "favorites contacts" which send to be there. Now you give us "suggested" contacts PLEASE GIVE US BACK THE ABILITY TO CHOSE FAVORITES FOR QUICK CALLING. We can decide better than google who we want to call

I really want to love this app, I have to use it daily. However it seems that despite all their updating (finally) the app is still clunky and full of bugs. The app constantly cashes when Im coming back to it and it always hangs up when refreshing the conversations list. To top it all off there is NO option to turn off message preview meaning I cant get notifications if I want to be secure...unacceptable these days when everyone (including Google!) wants you to use things like two factor authentication. Awful. 8/30/17 - Latest update has seen the app speed improve dramatically. Increased stars to 3, but security is still a problem until they allow for message preview to be turned off.
