I love using Google Voice but one thing has been severely lacking... Why cant we search our voicemails and texts? The powerhouse search engine doesnt have search on one of its apps?

Finally the previous update was a tad bit slow, this one is much faster!

The Google Voice app would be even more useful than it already is if it could be used as a Call Blocking and Call Screening tool for the default iOS Phone app in settings. The GV app has spam functionality but it only works if your GV number is called first, not if your mobile number is called first.

Google Voice is a very useful service that has languished in obscurity and lack of attention for so long. Suddenly Google is paying attention and developing it (yay!), but they might just be using interns because the app is horrible from a UX standpoint, for a Google product and even as compared to your average app. They added batch archive of conversations and batch delete (broken btw) of individual messages, Ok. But what we really need is batch delete of multiple conversations at once. I want to think that its inattention to details but what I suspect it really is is that Google doesnt want you to remove your content, so they just make it difficult and unfriendly to do so. Anyway, so much utility and potential continually squandered by bad design and implementation. Sigh....

Still cant make calls through the app like FaceTime or Skype or Viber, or countless other apps.

Still one of the worst UI updates I have ever seen. You have to wait for calls tab to reorder itself every time you open the app. The quick dial feature is gone and now you have to search through the calls tab to find a number you dial frequently. Whoever authorised this update at Google should be fired.

Thank you for finally fixing most of the application lag. Why is it so hard to change my voicemail greeting? You removed it from the new web interface and from the app. Please give us this option back.

Get an option to send videos!!!!!!

Google is shockingly terrible at creating an app that companies with 1% of the resources could outdo easily. In UI - terrible Bugginess - terrible Speed - terrible Function - medium

How can one of the greatest companies of all time come up with one of the most useful services of all time, yet make one of the worst apps of all time?

After reading a message, the app keeps it left as unread. Even keeps the app icon number. Strangely, even sending a message sometimes leaves the sent message as unread. Frustrating app

This is basically a webpage packaged into an app. Its slow, and buggy. Frequently things as simple as marking a message as read will take almost a minute of fiddling and refreshing just to work. Google obviously doesnt care about this app. I wouldnt be surprised if they drop it soon like all their other not-gmail products.

Seems useless if notifications work only sometimes. Latest ios, ip7

App doesnt send messages as quick as WhatsApp. App crashes often. App UI is horrible Surprisingly this app is from Google! Hope google fix this app asap.

Google? Did you really create this terribly bugged app? You make BILLIONS and this is a terrible app.

I was very excited half a year ago when Google voice started to support MMS properly… The app was running smoothly for a few months but then Google made an upgrade and the upgrade appears to have broken me up completely. The app crashes on almost every incoming text message and me up flags for about half a minute to a minute on almost every function you perform

I use this app only for the voicemail feature. The voicemail transcript and listening feature is works albeit buggy. However, the response time when tapping on/navigating between voice messages ranges from a few seconds to usually 15 seconds, which is frustratingly slow before anything even begins to happen. Reminds me of old Apple II computers when trying to print: *thinking, thinking, thinking...*

I use google voice for my small business and I have an ongoing issue with receiving my transcribed messages. I dont receive an alert that a new message has come in and the new message does not get transcribed and sent to my iPhone or gmail email account. When I look in my email the line states that there was a new missed call with the telephone number and the time of the call. Also I have my office calls forwarded to my google voice and for some reason google voice will not display these calls and the messages are left on my office voice mail not google voice. Ive used google voice for over 3 years and this issue happens intermittently but is very frustrating and counterproductive. Im looking for a new app its becoming unbearable. Google please help!

Used to be easy to use and great. Now too slow and frustrating. Hope they fix!
