The app does have issues. But the service as a whole rules the world. Hehe, my world at least. I use this as my exclusive communication method. It offers so much! I love it!

The new Google Voice App for IOS is NOT improved (version 2.5 June 9, 2017). It is missing the Favorite contacts list aka: Quick Dial. The old version of the app was easier to use and allowed me to access the list of favorite contacts. I frequently use google voice to make calls to the same 5-6 international contacts and also to some new numbers. I dont want to have to sort through all of the US contacts on my phone to find the few Favorite contacts that I had before. The Google voice for IOS app shows all contacts on my phone and does not allow me to sort them into groups or to show only the favorites as I once could in a previous version. Please bring back the functionality to sort out the favorites from the other contacts. Please make the list condensed so only the favorites show on the contact list. Also, the ability to turn off the recent call list, message inbox, and voicemail would be nice, I only need the quick dial (favorites) and the dial number pad.

Its not pretty or intuitive. You cant do 1/4 of what the older app could do. You used to be able to use click to call and get a call back. No way to mark a number spam. It doesnt cooperate with hangouts at all. Google shotgun approach to just make 20 apps that all do the same thing but break each other is such a great idea. Finally catching up to Microsoft. Uninstall and go back to 1.6. It works perfectly.

For the most part, the app works as billed. But, occasionally when sending texts, it doesnt mark the message as read. Or it will mark the message you send as unread. The fun part is going back to the app after using another app, it crashes upon reopening for no apparent reason. This has been happening for about 3 weeks. And you can send all the crash dumps you want to Google, no one cares!

I used Google Voice on iPhone for years. New app is actually less practical. So disapointing! Google - please put a good PM on this and make it good. I dont need great. Please

Unacceptable UI responsiveness as in 10 seconds to respond to button press. Always. Occasional crashes. Cant send video MMS. Cant receive some types of MMS, get a "format not supported" message. I guess these are videos Im being sent but I wouldnt know. Unbelievably incomplete product and extremely poor quality due to the speed. Also I get notifications of missed calls and Im certain my phone didnt ring, perhaps it rang once? This is what google is about too much in their plate, quality suffers. Just sell off google voice already to somebody who will maintain it properly.

When I first heard mentions of google voice, I thought it was just a redundant messaging app by google (along side hangouts, allo, and duo). After I spend some time with it, it is in fact quite useful. Unlike other apps that are limited to only people who are using the same app, it works with anyone with a phone or anything with SMS capabilities. Unlike other apps (like duo) that does support SMS, you are able to choose your own phone number and your friends are just getting a text from who knows what. I have read reviews mentioning of a glitchy, slow interface, but with my short time with it it worked almost perfectly of my iPhone 5.

I have an iPad and it works perfectly. I dont know what I would do without google voice! Its a life safer. Thanks google!!

I like the concept of Google Voice, and the classic Google Voice web interface is great to have. But the iPhone app is so slow that its pretty much not usable. Clicking on any message, or anything in the app, just sits there and does nothing for several seconds.

Reliable interface to your GV account.

I work in an industry where EVERYONE wants your phone number but theres no way youre gonna give it out to every customer who asks. So this is extremely useful in keeping my work and personal life SEPERATE. Honestly do not know what I would be doing without this.

Seriously Google, put more money into updating this horrible app! This app is glitchy, slow, and outdated.

Every action such as selecting a text to read or switching to the phone diaper takes many seconds to respond to input. When typing a number manually it lags so far behind input you can finish typing and grab a drink while you wait for the digits to

The app has been getting slower and slower in the last few months to the point now where it is giving me an error that it cannot connect.

We expect better product from Google. It takes seconds to search contacts and even basic navigation. There is lot of space for improvement.

So many billions of dollars and this is the crap google has no shame of releasing under its name? Incredible. Agonizingly slow and unreliable.

Still jacked and now it continuously crashes. Google, wheres your quality control? What did you do with your competent programmers? Did they all go over to apple? It wasnt broken before the update but is now. All useful functionality is gone! Back to the drawing board you tech developers!!!

- there is no way to favorite a contact for quick access. - every phone number for a contact gets listed separately as a separate contact. - no way to display only your phones contacts or only your google contacts. - when you bring up the contacts page, you have to swipe down the dialpad first to see your contacts list. - no way to select multiple items in call/message list to archive. no "select all" option either. this app is just a UI nightmare in every way.

The app is too slow while trying to dial The number... previously the app was good but now, it totally waste.. searching for a good one...
