Ive been using Google Voice for years and now all of a sudden its functioning slow , and I cant make calls and every time I text it keeps saying try again (so many times )

Its keep crashing .. Fix it please

While I love that group messaging and MMS (FINALLY), but I wish reading an SMS reliably marked the message as read. I constantly have to open an SMS 2 or 3 times, scroll up in the message, scroll back down, exit the message, refresh the list, sometimes rinse and repeat, before it will mark the message as read. Yeah, I could mark ALL messages as read, but what if all messages are not yet read? Even adding the ability to manually mark an individual message as read by swiping left or right from the message list would be helpful.

Ever since I downloaded this my iPhone battery goes so fast and it wont charge when plugged in. Takes a full night to get a full charge. I have to use this app for work. Also why doesnt it transfer the contacts from the app to online? Please fix this.

Needs to be stable. Right now pretty unusable.

This is my work phone and before the update it was fine, it wasnt pretty but it was completely functional. Not it is crap, you got rid of starring messages which was a big help, the keyboard is a mess and never works, I end up having to dial multiple times before I can make a call, and it is slow and laggy as all get out. Please fix this garbage update.

The older version worked better. Please fix.

The "new" version of the app is horrible. Who at Google performs the usability tests? I would LOVE to make GV my primary Google Voice app. But it lacks iOS URL support. This app frequently doesnt update when you are in the app - even when the user *SENDS* texts. The interface is clunky and I sometimes midevial. There isnt a favorites and getting to archived texts is hard. Where is the VOIP calling? This version of the app is also incompatible with "classic" GV, which means that the Chrome extension is broken. Id love to convert to Hangouts, but it too seems stuck in the gray zone. No chance to import history. The UI is also terrible. No URL support. Overall a disappointment. Just pick a platform Google. Make it good. Please.

Update 1aug17 Still the same unfriendy organized nervy system. I dont care which channel a contract uses to contact me. I do care that I lose sight because I need to look in messages, calls and recordings separately. That is insane inefficiency. Talk to me Google. Your bad work and now your anonymity is frustrating. Update 26apr17... Even after many weeks of being forced to use this bad ? new version of this important app and the ultimate wish to just give us the previous version back... Still no improvement. That is sad Google!!! When are you going to improve your release process? I will be happy ☺ to help test too. Thanks. Sometime in the past... So sorry... It is super inefficient to split the channels. We all work with people and need to see all communication with one person, whether it is phone call or text or recording, all nicely in one log in time sequence, as it was before!!! Not to speak of how bad the performance of this version is. Waiting for half a minute to be able to use the search feature which is the only alternative. Please do proper research among real users and divvy take away that they need. Thank you @Marcelspitz

Where is/are the favorites?

Google really needs to get its act together. They seem completely adrift in their direction and this clumsy, crashy app is the lately evidence. Instead of desperately trying to copy Apple they need to get back to being google and building better software. Very disappointed by them lately

I really want to love this app, I have to use it daily. However it seems that despite all their updating (finally) the app is still clunky and full of bugs. The app constantly cashes when Im coming back to it and it always hangs up when refreshing the conversations list. To top it all off there is NO option to turn off message preview meaning I cant get notifications if I want to be secure...unacceptable these days when everyone (including Google!) wants you to use things like two factor authentication. Awful.

Totally unusable it freezes upon open, need to force quit, freezes when you try to type

The latest major update of the iOS Google Voice app took it from a visually outdated experience to an equally outdated visual experience. The major difference is that the app is now so staggeringly slow, its barely usable. When a new text arrives, you open the app, and wait second after second to see even the main list update. Then you tap the conversation and begin the waiting process for the conversation to update with the new text. Also, the dialing interface using contacts is clumsy and counterintuitive. Searching old texts is both sluggish and confusing. Its like the app was designed as a test of patience.

Super Slow and worst now: HOW SLOW? It takes exactly one minute for the search box to be ready to take any word to search, then it takes exactly another minute for the results to appear, then it freezes and then it takes another minute for it to loosen up and let you scroll up the results. Im using you app on iPhone 5, but all my friends are experiencing the same in the iPhone 6 and 7, what is wrong with Google. UNISTALL IT OR: Stay away from it or dont get the January update. Version 2.3 was the LAST BEST, after it the next updates destroyed google voice. Google dont listen, this is The most Mediocre programming Ive ever seen: The Search box freezes/crashes everywhere. All functions are SLOW!!! and Original features folders ARE NOW GONE! See, NOT MORE: 1.Recorded calls folder 2.Placed calls folder 3. Received calls folder 4.Missed calls folder 5.Unread calls folder 6.Spam calls/text folder 7.Trash folder 8.Starred folder 9.Inbox folder 10.Voicemail folder! Google have destroyed this nice app and turn it into the horrible hangouts which is as slow as this one is now and lacking all of the above features, GOOGLE HAS INSULTED IS USERS WITH THIS fake UPDATE, it just destroyed Google Voice and gave you nasty-mediocre hangouts disguised now as the new Google Voice! F**u Google for ignoring us! Mediocre programming and programmers! Will Uninstalled it today.

Seems Google just has their way and ideas and does it this way. Reviews show they arent here for the customer. Every time opening the app have to wait a long time before you can call. Have to wait for the app to update the page or you will call or text the wrong person. Push comes in, app doesnt get info. Gmail is faster to update when loading from closed. Cant click to call still, took it away just because. Can use a desktop, so no reason they couldnt have LEFT the feature in the app. Since googles idea cloud is better, everything is slow to load on the app.

Whenever I try to call a number it changes the number that I was trying to call and wont let the call go through this is so stupid honestly

I know you are big now, playing as a dominant you dont care customers anymore. You offer such trash product without any improved and upgrade, its slow like ants moving, not responding, buffering to load.. You can go jump the ship Google Chief Tech Officer, your ability to create and manage software not even good as a IT graduated student.

New interface is cleaner, but so much slower. Performance on the iPad Air is subpar relative to most other apps. Android version is far superior.

Heres a suggestion, fix the part where my old calls and missed calls screen has the option to delete all at once instead of one by one chaos. Please work on this guys. Thank you. Yours truly a long time user of this app. Love it too much to ditch it.
